Amount requested: $4,000,000
The funds will be used to begin design and implementation efforts for ecosystem restoration and/or management of contaminants for ecological or economic purposes for sites along, or that impact, the Lake Michigan Waterfront in Lake and Porter Counties, Indiana. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ mission includes ecosystem restoration and this project is federally authorized pursuant to section 125 of Public Law 109-103.
