Amount Requested: $375,000
The funding will be used by the City of Hobart to install a sanitary sewer line and a companion water line along 61st Avenue. Further, to tie the new lines into the existing system, a new lift station will be installed at the corner of Wisconsin Street. These utilities will replace well and septic service for homes and serve undeveloped property along 61st Avenue. Investment in wastewater infrastructure provides significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to the local communities and the nation.
