Amount Requested: $1,125,000
The funding will be used by Independence Hill Conservancy District to construct the Taft Street sanitary interceptor sewer. The new system will serve a rapidly developing area that is nearing its capacity for peak flows. Further, the new system will encourage additional commercial development in the area. Investment in wastewater infrastructure provides significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to the local communities and the nation.
