Long Island Rep. Pete King, chairman of the House Committee On Homeland Security, has sent the letter below to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, saying that the U.S. should exercise its veto power against any United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements.

As reported in Ha'aretz, "President Obama called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday in an attempt to prevent the impending vote on a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements. The Palestinian Authority and other Arab nations have pushed that the UN Security Council will vote on the resolution on Friday, and Washington has implored the PA to withdraw the proposal, but so far to no avail."

King, who, incidentally, has just brought our James Gordon Meek onto the Committee as a senior investigator, has taken some heat over his plan to hold hearings on the topic of the radicalization of American Muslims.
