(Washington, DC) - The U.S. House of Representatives held a hearing on a bill that would help even the playing field between credit card holders and the companies who issue the credit. The proposed bill would protect consumers from arbitrary rate increases and excessive fees. Holding up a stack of credit card offers, Congressman Gary Ackerman said the way things are now, it is virtually impossible to decipher the fine print.
