City to get $22.6 million from stimulus
Barrett says funds are for jobs, housing, public works

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — The City of Milwaukee will get $22.6 million from the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help with jobs, housing and public works projects, Mayor Tom Barrett announced Wednesday.

Barrett thanked the administration, the delegation and especially Rep. Gwen Moore, a Milwaukee Democrat, for the "unprecedented opportunities contained in the stimulus law."...
