Department of Justice announces cooperative agreement with San Bernardino Police Department

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs announced that it has reached a cooperative agreement with the San Bernardino Police Department to help fund the Department's Internet Crimes Against Children initiative. An allocation of $45,000 will be made to help the Department pay for training, equipment, investigations, and education programs relating to internet crimes that involve children.

"As technology becomes more sophisticated, so does the ability of criminals to conduct illegal activity in cyberspace," said Representative Joe Baca (D-Rialto). "It's important that our local police be given every tool they need to help protect our children from the dangers of internet crime."
