Hispanic Caucus Applauds Passage of Monumental Higher Education Reauthorization
- (Washington D.C.)-  The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) applauded the passage of today’s historic Higher Education Reauthorization Act, H.R. 4137, by a vote of 380-49 in the House and 83-8 in the Senate. The bill now heads to the President’s desk.  Once signed into law, this bill will bring tremendous improvements to the Pell Grant and Federal Work-Study programs, simplify the financial aid process, strengthen GEAR UP and TRIO programs, recruit more minority teachers, and enact the new graduate program for Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI’s)....More
