APPROPRIATIONS FUNDING FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE

  • $43,000 - Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Colton

Telemedicine regional network program.
Incentives to improve the quality of phone services and access to advanced telecommunications services and computer networks for regional medical centers.

  • $1.713 million - KVCR, radio station

San Bernardino Valley Community College
Expansion of distance education telecourse broadcasting program.
Continuation of the advancement of programs and services available for those seeking a higher education within the Inland Empire.

  • $128,000 - City of Fontana

After school teen center to help educate at-risk youth.
Provides after-school services within an already existing community center. The program provides options to younger generations, a key to keeping children off the streets.

  • $1.5 million - Alameda Corridor-East project

Eliminate rail grade crossings and improve safety for communities from downtown Los Angeles to San Bernardino.

  • $1.6 million - San Bernardino "Omnitrans" Intermodal Transportation Center

Providing for the eventual completion of the project. Omnitrans will anchor fifteen local and regional express bus routes as well as serve both Metrolink lines into Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

  • $1.0 million - Upgrade Metrolink

San Bernardino County
Construction of sidings in the Interstate 10 corridor and double tracking the rail line between the Pomona and Montclair stations. $600,000 has been set aside for restoration of the historic Santa Fe Train Station in San Bernardino, and the Rialto Metrolink Depot will receive $550,000 in funding.

  • $10 million in funding for the Chino Basin Dairy Preserve. {bipartisan effort}

Provide funding to remedy pollution problems of the Chino Dairy Preserve and fund conservation and flood protection projects for the region, including the Santa Ana River basin to secure these critical funds for flood control and bio-energy management and research.
