WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) announced today that his Cabot office will provide one-on-one counseling services Monday, December 11th and Tuesday, December 12th for any seniors planning to enroll or make changes to their existing Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan. Medicare beneficiaries are encouraged to make an appointment in advance at 1-800-866-2701.
"My staff and I intend to be there every step of the way to help seniors through the registration process," said Congressman Berry. "After all the problems last year, we need to do everything possible to make sure seniors do not feel confused and overwhelmed.”
Medicare beneficiaries have from November 15, 2006 to January 1, 2007 to register for the prescription drug benefit or make any changes to their current plan. A member of Congressman Berry’s staff will be available to help seniors compare plans and resolve any problems beneficiaries face with their current coverage. Seniors will need to bring their Medicare card, their medications (dosage & quantity), and the name and address of their preferred pharmacy. Individuals who want to switch plans will need the ID card from their current plan.
Congressman Berry’s Cabot office is located at 116 North First, Suite C-1. |
