WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) announced today that he has promoted his long-time Legislative Director, Chad Causey, to Chief of Staff in his Washington, DC office. Causey, a native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has served on the Congressman's staff for five and a half years in a number of roles including Field Representative, District Director, and Legislative Director.
"We are indeed fortunate to have such a qualified and talented young man from the 1st Congressional District to serve our beloved constituents and their needs," said Congressman Berry.
Causey replaces Thad Huguley who has served as the Congressman's Chief of Staff for the past seven years. Huguley is moving to Nashville, Tennessee to join the Ingram Group, a government relations firm founded in 1982 by Tom Ingram, current Chief of Staff to Senator Lamar Alexander (TN).
Causey graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1994 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1999. After graduating from college, Causey joined Berry's staff as a Field Representative before relocation to Washington D.C. to manage the Congressman's work on the 2002 Farm bill. Since that time, Causey has served in numerous capacities in both Arkansas and Washington, D.C. Causey is the son of Gussi Causey, a counselor at Jonesboro High School. |
