Berry to Attend Several Community Events in Mountain Home

 
WASHINGTON, D.C. –  U.S. Representative Marion Berry  (D-AR, 1st) will be in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Monday, August 7th to participate in several community events. Details on his schedule are listed below. Members of the press are invited to all events.

 

Public Schedule – August 7, 2006

 

American Cancer Society Event

Congressman Berry will join Chancellor Ed Coulter of ASU Mountain Home and members of the Mountain Home community to sign a cancer awareness banner that will be on display in Washington, DC.

 

New Direction for America Town Hall

11:00am – 12:00am

Baxter County Library

424 W. 7th Street

 

Congressman Berry will unveil his New Direction for America agenda and take questions from members of the audience on any issues of concern.

 

Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute Tour

1:45pm – 2:45pm

622 Hospital Drive

 

Congressman Berry will join representatives from the Mountain Home CARTI facility to see first-hand how the center has benefited from federal funds. Berry secured a $500,000 earmark in last year's appropriations process to help the facility purchase state-of-the art equipment.
