WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) will hold a town hall meeting at 11:00am on Monday, August 21, 2006 at Arkansas Northeastern College Student Center in Burdette to unveil a new plan that will bring economic prosperity and security to Arkansas' middle-class families. The New Direction for America will lower health care costs, gas prices and college tuition, increase employment and retirement security, and develop a new national security strategy that seeks greater international cooperation in the War on Terror and prioritizes immigration reform and border security here at home.
"It is time to put an end to policies that divide our country and leave working families struggling to make ends meet," said Congressman Berry. "Americans deserve a new plan that benefits the common good by restoring prosperity and security to towns all across this country.
