Congressman Brian Bilbray Speaks Out On “Saved or Created” Jobs Language

(Washington D.C.)- Congressman Brian Bilbray (CA-50) took part in today's Capitol Hill press conference where six members of Congress questioned the Obama Administration's claims on how many jobs will be saved or created under Obama's stimulus plan. President Obama has claimed the stimulus plan, a plan that was pushed through Congress in the middle of the night, has already saved or created 150,000 jobs and will save or create another 600,000 in the next 100 days, yet the president has declined calls from Congress to provide his formulas on how he has arrived at these figures. Bilbray and 51 Other Members of Congress Oppose Obama’s Postponement of E-Verify, Again

(Washington D.C.)- Congressman Brian Bilbray, Chairman of the Immigration Reform Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently sent President Barack Obama a letter, signed by 51 other members of Congress, regarding opposition to the Administration's postponement of the E-Verify program. In the letter, the members stated, "We oppose the Administration's decision to delay, for a third time, the requirement that federal contractors use E-Verify to confirm that new hires are eligible to work in the United States legally." ... view more

Bilbray Seeks Passage of SAVE Act

Rep. Heath Shuler (NC-11) and Rep. Brian Bilbray (CA-50) are proud to introduce the Secure America with Verification and Enforcement Act.  Also known as the SAVE Act, this bill has strong bi-partisan support. It focuses on securing our borders, increasing interior detection and enforcement, and limiting the ability of illegal immigrants to work in America.
