“I was saddened to learn that another brave soldier from our region has been killed in Iraq. Four of our brave soldiers from the Micronesian region have been killed in Iraq over the last month, and the grief runs deep for our entire Pacific community. My heart goes out to SPC Charfauros’ wife and three children, his extended family, and his friends during their time of sorrow,” Congresswoman Bordallo said.
“SPC Charfauros was a former police officer in Rota and his loss will be deeply felt in that small island community. We want the Charfauros family and the people of Rota to know that we share their grief and we mourn with them the loss of SPC Charfauros and his fellow soldiers who were also lost in that same attack,” Congresswoman Bordallo concluded.
