Veterans
Health Questionnaire Makes Landfall on Guam
FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 8, 2003 – Washington, D.C.
– Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's Veterans Health Questionnaire,
which was delayed for several weeks due to a mail mix-up, has finally
arrived on Guam. Although the survey marks October 1st as the deadline
to respond, Bordallo's office will be accepting questionnaires until
all veterans are able to make their voice heard.
"Although it has
been a frustrating ordeal trying to get these surveys from DC to
Guam, I am happy to announce that they have finally arrived. I recently
testified on veterans health issues before the Department of Veterans
Affairs and will continue advocating on behalf of Guam veterans
and military retirees. These surveys are an important part of ensuring
our veterans are treated fairly," Congresswoman Bordallo
said.
The health survey seeks to determine
the number of Guam veterans accessing VA health care and their level
of satisfaction with services provided in order to improve accessibility
and the quality of care provided.
Veterans and retirees may also
obtain the survey
online or visit the district office in Hagåtña.
