Congresswomen Bordallo Bids Farewell to Taiwan Ambassador Lee

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—March 27, 2007Washington, D.C. –

Congresswoman Bordallo today attended a farewell reception for Taiwan's principal Representative in the United States, Ambassador David Tawei Lee.  Ambassador Lee has completed his assignment in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Lee is a graduate of National Taiwan University, one of Taiwan's most prestigious institutions of higher learning.  He holds both a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.  While working on his Ph.D., Dr. Lee was staff consultant with the Coordination Council for North American Affairs (CCNAA, later renamed the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office) until1988.
