<home> -- <press releases> -- <April 24, 2007> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—April 24, 2007– Local business owner Lucy Montinola Alcorn was honored today as part of the 2007 “Small Business Week” events held annually by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Today’s ceremony is one of four held this week to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and accomplishments of individuals and business owners across the country. More than 100 small business owners were honored during today’s ceremony, which was attended by Congressman Madeleine Z. Bordallo, Alcorn’s husband, David, and close friends and family. Alcorn is the President and CEO of Global Food Services, LLC, which supports the management and operations of the Navy Family and Bachelor Housing Program, Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs, and provides food services to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) School Lunch Program.
