Bordallo, Chairwoman of the Insular Affairs, Oceans, and Wildlife Subcommittee, today offered her condolences to the people of American Samoa and the Philippines during a speech on the House floor early this morning. Congresswoman Bordallo’s speech was made after Father Daniel P. Coughlin, Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives, offered a prayer before morning business on the House floor. “My prayers are with the people of American Samoa and the Philippines during their recovery after these recent natural disasters,” Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo said today. “President Obama has already cleared the way for federal assistance to the government of American Samoa.
