Last December, Chairman Burton introduced
"H.R. 3475, The Dietary Supplement Tax Fairness Act of 2001".
The bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to
treat amounts paid for foods for special dietary use, dietary supplements,
and medical foods as medical expenses for purposes of the medical expense
deduction.
