BUYER'S 7TH HOOSIER JOB FAIR GREAT SUCCESS;
Washington, D.C.—Almost a thousand Hoosiers came out in spite of a hot summer day to embark on new employment and opportunities at Congressman Steve Buyer’s (IN-04) Hoosier Job Fair. This was the 7th Hoosier Job Fair for the Congressman; each job fair attracts Hoosiers with personal stories to help better their families and communities. On Monday, over 80 businesses offered well over 2,700 job opportunities to Hoosiers.

REQUEST FOR SECOND DISASTER RELIEF SUPPLEMENTAL;
Washington, D.C.—Today Congressman Steve Buyer (IN04) joined the Members of the Disasters of 2008 Working Group and signed a letter to Majority Leady Hoyer, Minority Whip Blunt, Chairman of House Appropriations Obey, and Ranking Member Lewis asking to have a meeting scheduled to begin discussion of a second disaster relief supplemental for next week. Receiving funding in a second disaster relief supplemental that would coincide with the previous appropriated funds will help Hoosiers rebuild their communities which fell victim to the disastrous storm system in May and June.

BUYER APPLAUDS LIFTING BAN ON DRILLING IN THE OUTER CONTINENTAL SHELF
Washington, D.C.—Indiana Congressman Steve Buyer applauds the President for lifting the executive ban on drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). This action brings more emphasis on developing the supply side in balancing our nation’s energy portfolio. Congressman Buyer strongly supports America getting into the energy business and becoming energy self-sufficient in an environmentally friendly.

CONGRESSMAN BUYER'S JOB FAIR ATTRACTING WIDE BUSINESS PARTICIPATION;
Washington, D.C.—Indiana Congressman Steve Buyer will host his 7th Hoosier Job Fair in which already offers over 1,700 jobs, with over 65 businesses participating. Leading area employers will be recruiting at the event at Avon High School on July 21, 2008 form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
