Constituent Services: Visiting D.C.

Congressional tours are offered for the following buildings:

* White House

* U.S. Capitol

* Supreme Court

* Bureau of Engraving and Printing

An online guide to Washington is available as well.

To request a tour contact our Washington, D.C. office at:

1641 Longworth House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515
phone: 202-225-4535
fax: 202-225-4403

Regarding White House Tours: These are made through my staff. Generally, official requests are submitted to the White House Visitors Office on behalf of the constituent and his/her group no later than 3 months in advance. This is due to limited availability, and requests submitted sooner will have a better chance of being granted admission by the Visitors Office. The White House webpage states "public tours of the White House are available for groups of 10 or more people", however this applies more to Congressional offices and does not limit those with a party of less than 10.

During peak times, White House tours are very hard to come by, so please request early. In the event that a tour is granted, the White House requires that social security numbers, birthdays and full names be submitted for security clearance, so please have these ready for my staff to better assist you. Please understand we want to do everything to help our fellow Missourians! We look forward to serving you and making your trip to our Nation's capital city the best it can be!
