SALMON RECOVERY, ANTI-METH
PROGRAM
FUNDED IN HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS BILL
WASHINGTON, D.C., July 26 – The House of Representatives today approved
another increment of funding for the West Coast Salmon Recovery program, helping
restore threatened and endangered salmon runs in Washington, Oregon
and California
as well as Alaska and Idaho, Rep. Norm Dicks said.
A total of $64.8 million for the program was approved by the House as
part of the Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Appropriations bill
for the next fiscal year, beginning Oct.1, 2007, said Rep. Dicks, who serves as
a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
