2009 15th District Congressional Arts Competition

Congratulations!

Thank you to all of those who participated in Mr. Dingell's Arts Competition. The winners are:
  • First Place, Jacob Zapor for his entry 'Unrestrained Earth'
  • Second Place, Natalie Diew for her painting of a mask
  • Third Place, Zeinib Saab for his wheelchair photograph titled, 'Things Could be Worse'

For over 29 years, Congressman Dingell has hosted a competition for Southeastern Michigan’s top high school artists. The 15th District Congressional Arts Competition, “An Artistic Discovery” allows students to exhibit their creativity, while also competing for the opportunity to have their artwork exhibited in the U.S. Capitol complex.

Here's a look at the wonderful artwork from past competitions.

If you're interested in applying for the next competition, you can review last year's rules and application process by clicking here.

Again, thank you to all who participated and made this a truly memorable event.
