The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS) have established www.broadbandusa.gov as a one-stop portal providing information about NTIA’s Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and RUS’s Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP). Each of these programs is funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009. There you can find:
- BTOP/BIP Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA). This provides details on the definitions and requirements of the BTOP and BIP programs.
- State Broadband Data and Development Grand Program NOFA. This provides details on the definitions and requirements for broadband mapping grants to states and territories.
- Applicant Registration and Downloadable Applications
- Application Guidelines for the BTOP and BIP programs
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). These provide information regarding policy, application, and technical aspects of the BTOP and BIP programs.
- Information Library. This contains fact sheets on BTOP, BIP, and State Broadband Data and Development Grants NOFAs, as well as other information (e.g., Buy America limited waiver, etc.)
