Shortly before the death of Israeli Prime Minister Rabin, I had the honor of meeting
with him and his successor, Shimon Peres, pictured here, to discuss foreign affairs.

In 1995, Vice President Gore joined me on Austin's Town Lake, where we met
with students who monitor water quality through Colorado River Watch. The
Austin area enjoys spectacular natural resources -- lakes, rivers and hills -- that
we work hard to protect.
