Information about Congress image

Through the web sites listed below, individuals can access information on bills before Congress, public laws, hearings, floor action, and the House and Senate floor schedule -- as well as many of my actions as the elected representative of the people of the 14th District.

How Our Laws Are Made -- an on-line tutorial from the Library of Congress that describes the legislative process in great detail. Please contact me with any questions about this request.

THOMAS -- THOMAS is the web site established and maintained by the Library of Congress, which is part of the legislative branch of the federal government. Through THOMAS, individuals can find information on House and Senate floor action, Congressional Record statements, all of the legislation introduced in the House and Senate, House roll call votes, public laws, committee reports and schedules, and selected testimony before Congressional committees.

U.S. House of Representatives Home Page -- provides access to information about House operations, the floor schedule, roll call votes, committee action, committee schedules, the Congressional schedule, and C-SPAN coverage of the House and Senate. In addition, this page provides access to all of the web sites maintained by Members of Congress, the House leadership, and House committees.

House Votes -- All of the votes cast in the House of Representatives can be reviewed on the web site maintained by the Clerk of the House of Representatives. This site also provides viewers with information about the House schedule, House Floor proceedings, legislation introduced in the House, discharge petitions, public laws, and the legislative process.

U.S. Senate Home Page -- provides access to information about Senate legislative activity, committee action, and Senate history and legislative procedures, as well as access to all of the Senate web sites and other resources.

Senate Votes -- All of the votes cast in the U.S. Senate can be reviewed on the web site maintained by the Secretary of the Senate. This site also provides viewers with information about the Senate schedule, legislation introduced in the Senate, treaties, nominations, lobbyists' disclosure information, and the legislative process.
