Congressional Internship Opportunities

Volunteer internships provide college students with an opportunity to learn how a Congressional office operates. They are indispensable to those seeking government employment or those who are contemplating a future career in politics. To apply, send a resume, cover letter and writing sample to Congresswoman Johnson.

Those wishing to intern in the Washington Office should send information to:
Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson
Attn: Intern Coordinator
1511 Longworth House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Those wishing to intern in the Dallas or Satellite office should send information to:
Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson
Attn: Intern Coordinator
3102 Maple Ave., Suite 600
Dallas, Texas 75201

Interns participate in a broad program designed to aid understanding of the legislative and constituent service processes. Areas of involvement include administrative operations, communication and message design and research. Prospective interns should be advised that this office does not generally pay interns and, if selected, all room and board arrangements are the responsibility of the intern. Internships generally last 10 weeks, though special arrangements may be coordinated.
