On Tuesday, the House will meet at 2 p.m. for legislative business. Votes will be postponed until 6:30 p.m.

H.Con.Res. 322 - Expressing the Sense of Congress regarding the contribution of the USO to the morale and welfare of our servicemen and women of our armed forces and their families: Extends gratitude to the USO on its 65th anniversary and recognizes that their work in supporting servicemen and servicewomen is critical to the success and mission of the military.
  2. H.Res. 629 - Supporting the goals and ideals of a Day of Hearts, Congenital Heart Defect Day in order to increase awareness about congenital heart defects, and for other purposes
  3. H.R. 4054 - Dewey F. Bartlett Post Office Designation Act (Tulsa, Oklahoma)

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15 AND 16, 2006

Suspensions (2 bills):

  1. S. 2275 - National Flood Insurance Program Further Enhanced Borrowing Authority: Amends the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 to increase from $18.5 billion to $21.2 billion, through FY2008, the total amount which the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may borrow from the Secretary of the Treasury with the President's approval to carry out the flood insurance program.
  2. H.Con.Res. 300 - Paying tribute to Shirley Horn in recognition of her many achievements and contributions to the world of jazz and American culture

 

H.Con.Res. XXX - A concurrent resolution condemning the Government of Iran for violating its international nuclear nonproliferation obligations and expressing support for efforts to report Iran to the United Nations Security Counsel

 

S.Con.Res. 79 - A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that no United States assistance should be provided directly to the Palestinian Authority if any representative political party holding a majority of parliamentary seats within the Palestinian Authority maintains a position calling for the destruction of Israel
