FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. ---- SOLOMONA AOELUA JOINS FALEOMAVAEGA'S WASHINGTON STAFF

Congressman Faleomavaega announced that Mr. Solomona Aoelua will be joining his Congressional staff in the Washington, D.C. office.

"It is a pleasure for me to add Mr. Aoelua to my staff," said Faleomavaega. "Solomona brings with him experience from both American Samoa and Washington, DC. As an employee of the Bureau of the Census for the past ten years, he has worked in a variety of positions and understands the inner-workings of the federal bureaucracy. He also has several years of experience in directing, producing, and coordinating public relations activities both in the United States and American Samoa."

Mr. Aoelua has attended Columbia College in Los Angeles, California, Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California, and Merritt College in Oakland, California. Before that he graduated from Faga'itua in American Samoa.

"Mr. Aoelua's fluency in both Samoan and English makes him especially useful in Washington where requests for information and services come from a wide variety of sources and cover the mundane to the technical. I want to welcome Solomona to our staff, and look forward to using his knowledge of American Samoa and the operations of the federal government to provide improved services to our people," concluded Faleomavaega.

Mr. Aoelua is the son of Vaie'e Pua'atu'ua of the Village of Tula and the late Aoelua Solimio of the Village of Afono, American Samoa.
