Congressman Fattah Honors Legendary Jazz Radio Host and Advocate Bob
Perkins
Congressman Chaka Fattah honors Bob Perkins, legendary jazz radio host
and advocate, for four decades as a Philadelphia institution known as "B.P.
with the G.M." Bob Perkins' with the Good Music. Bob Perkins has
completed 10 years of five-day-a-week broadcasts on WRTI-FM, the Temple
University station. Bob Perkins; wife Sheila joins in the ceremony at
the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts in June 2007 -
with a giant version of the stamp honoring jazz great Thelonius Monk
providing the backdrop.
