Tom Feeney Annual Congressional Art Competition


On June 28, 2007, Danielle Landress, grand prize winner of Congressman Tom Feeney's 2007 district art competition attended the unveiling ceremony of her artwork in Washington, D.C.  Danielle's artwork was professionally framed and will be displayed in the Capitol for one year alongside winning pieces from around the nation.
 
On Saturday, April 7, 2007, U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney announced the winners of the 2007 Congressional Art Competition at the Brevard Community College Planetarium. Congressman Tom Feeney with Art Competition Students, Teacher and Volunteers
Art Competition Sponsors More than 150 high school students from 8 schools in Orange, Seminole, Brevard and Volusia counties submitted artwork for this year's contest.

Winning Students:

1st place/grand prize - Danielle Landress, 10th grade, Space Coast High School

2nd place - Tiffany McCauley, 10th grade, Space Coast High School

3rd place - Erin Beattie, 10th grade, Space Coast High School

The grand prize winner's artwork will be professionally framed and displayed in the Capitol for one year alongside winning pieces from around the nation. Additionally, the winning student will be offered a $5,000 per year, renewable scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design and travel and accommodations will be provided for the winner and her parent/guardian to attend an unveiling ceremony for the DC exhibit.
