Forbes Receives the
Hero of the Taxpayer
Award |
Washington, D.C. –The Americans
for Tax Reform (ATR) has presented Congressman J. Randy Forbes
(VA-04) with its “Hero of the Taxpayer” award for his strong record
on tax reform in the first session of the 109th Congress.
The Americans for
Tax Reform awards the “Hero of the Taxpayer Award” to Members of
Congress who display great leadership in protecting taxpayer
interests. In addition to votes on taxes, ATR also rated votes on
spending control and property rights.
“Tax relief has
played a significant role in boosting economic growth and improving
the economic outlook,” Forbes said. “Common sense tells us that
individuals spend their money more wisely than the federal
government. Tax relief fuels our economy, and I will continue to
support legislation that will benefit both the economy and the
constituents of the 4th District of Virginia. It is an
honor to receive this award.”
