Question of the Week: White House Tours
These questions are culled from phone calls, letters, faxes and e-mails sent to my Thousand Oaks, Solvang, and Washington offices. Each week I will add another question and answer. Week of March 27, 2009 • Question: How do I request a tour of the White House? → Answer: Requests for tours of the White House must be made through my office and can be made up to six months in advance. While we will be happy to try and accommodate your request, please note that the White House receives thousands of requests each day and is unable to accept all inquiries. Should your request be accepted you will be contacted by my office approximately two weeks prior to your requested date. At that time you should be prepared to provide the names, birth dates and Social Security numbers of each person in your party to gain security clearance. Please also be aware that my office has no say in which tours are approved and which are denied. To make a request, you may call (202) 225-5811, fax a request to (202) 225-1100 or e-mail my office through Write Your Representative. When inquiring about a tour, please include your name, contact information, total number in your party and the dates which you will be available for tours For more information about tours, see my tours page.
