Mexican Military Incursion Demonstrates Need for Infrastructure - U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) responded to reports that a Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint by members of the Mexican military in Arizona by reaffirming the necessity for border fencing and other infrastructure. According to a State Department Spokesman, the encounter “stemmed from a momentary misunderstanding as to the exact location of the U.S.-Mexican border.”

Drug Dealer Sentenced: "Perfect Opportunity" in Border Agent Case - U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) responded to the sentencing of Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, the drug smuggler whose testimony led to the convictions of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, by calling it a “perfect opportunity” for the President to pardon the agents or commute their sentences. Davila was sentenced today to two consecutive, 57 month terms in prison.
