Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels (left) meets with Inslee (right) in D.C. to discuss federal funding for transportation projects in the Puget Sound region. Congress is in the process of reauthorizing funding for highway and transit programs through the Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (H.R. 3550). Inslee, who is a cosponsor of this bipartisan bill, is working to secure federal assistance for needed transportation projects in Puget Sound.
