• Nearly 200 miles of Route 66 wind through the 41st District and San Bernardino is mentioned in the classic "Get Your Kicks on Route 66" song.

• In 1913, Redlands, CA was the first city in the U.S. to have lane divider stripes down the middle of the road.

• Famous residents, both past and present, of the 41st District include the "King of the Surf Guitar" Dick Dale, actor Matthew Modine,  Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan, Academy Award nominated actress Jeanne Crain, Coach of the NFL's 2001 Superbowl Champion Baltimore Ravens Brian Billick, and actress Susan Anton.  The late Roy Rogers and Dale Evans lived in Apple Valley, CA for many years.
