Last night on the House Floor, Kagen asked Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman James Oberstar for a more equitable distribution of funds under the National Highway Bridge Reconstruction and Safety Act, a measure that would return more federal money to Wisconsin. Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. is working hard to restore immediate relief for the nation’s housing and economic crisis. Following a meeting with Treasury Secretary Paulsen and leaders in the House, Kagen voted for the American Housing Rescue & Foreclosure Prevention Act, which - at minimal cost to taxpayers - would help families facing foreclosure keep their homes and assist communities being harmed by the lack of confidence in the marketplace.
