In addition, Govbenefits.gov is a Web site that provides information on more than 1,000 free benefit programs, helping to reduce the amount of research needed to take advantage of government benefits and making them more accessible to all people.

Most frustrations in dealing with government agencies occur when we do not understand the onerous processes. Often when we know how to use it properly, government programs can work remarkable well. To ensure you are efficiently guided through the sometimes cumbersome processes, I have asked my staff to prepare a few guidelines to help you maximize the resources of the federal government through the use of my office.

In most cases, where we are requested to intervene, a Privacy Act form is required. It gives our office the permission to look at the records of your particular case and provides us a brief synopsis of your problem in writing, identifying your specific request.
