On Monday, I hosted the first 10th Congressional District Job Fair at Harper College in Palatine.  More than 2,000 area job seekers attended, and met with nearly 30 local employers.

American Clean Energy and Security Act

For 2009, our top goal should be energy independence.  I support exploring for energy off our coasts, expanding nuclear power and building a natural gas pipeline across Canada to lower heating costs in the Midwest – an “all-of-the-above” energy strategy.

Free Kareem

Tomorrow, President Obama will arrive in Cairo to give a landmark speech to the Muslim world and meet with Egypt’s President Mubarak to discuss US-Arab relations.  Last week, I sent a letter with Representative Bill Delahunt (D-MA) and 10 other members of Congress to the President requesting that he Mubarak to free Egyptian blogger Kareem Amer.
