Yesterday, I met with a group of students from the Jewish organization PANIM (Face to Face). These high school students are from our district. They presented their concerns to me on homelessness, Social Security, the war in Iraq, global warming and energy policies. I welcomed the opportunity to hear the insights from some of our community’s young leaders.

Today I voted to pass legislation that restores the $8 billion shortfall in the National Highway Trust Fund (H.R. 6532). I was proud to work with my colleagues on a bipartisan basis to ensure the solvency of our national infrastructure funding mechanism.
