Larsen to Explain Crucial Transportation Federal Funding Process and How It Impacts Washington State |
|
| Washington, D.C. – Rep.
Rick Larsen will host a number of transportation forums in the Northwest
to provide information and get feedback as the U.S. House prepares to reauthorize
the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21). TEA-21
provides crucial federal funding for highway, highway safety, transit and
other surface transportation programs. In order for the federal government
to obtain federal funds for transportation projects, state and local government
must provide matching funds. TEA-21 reauthorization is a true partnership
between federal, state and local government.
