An open letter to the families of the 278th and all members of our armed forces

Thank you for the sacrifice your family is making for our country. Please know that my staff and I are available to offer any assistance that you may need while your loved one is deployed away from home. The brave men and women of the 278th Armored Calvary Regiment and all those in our armed forces play a vital part in protecting and defending our nation and our freedoms, and the support of their loved ones is crucial to their mission.

The U.S. Armed Services provide comprehensive support services for the families of National Guard/Reserve members who have been called to active duty. If you are unaware of these valuable programs, my McMinnville District Office would be more than willing to help you connect with these services and benefits, including health care, for which your family may now be eligible.

As always, please feel free to call, email or stop by my office in McMinnville (see below) if you need any assistance with the federal government. My staff remains available for assistance with tax filing questions, passports and visas, veterans' benefits and health care, military academy recommendations and other services.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can do anything for you and your family, and once again, thank you for your patriotism and your courage in our on-going war against terrorism. It is the strength of families like yours that keeps this great nation strong.
