DAVIS TO HOLD SERVICE ACADEMY DAYSeptember 07, 2007

-- U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis is announcing that he will be hosting two regional events on Saturday, September 29th to familiarize students, grades 9-12, who are interested in applying for nomination to the five U.S. military academies.

"Each year one of my duties as a United States Congressman is to nominate qualified candidates to the U.S. military academies," said Davis. "This year, to accommodate the vast geography of the 4th District, I will be hosting two academy events to familiarize students with the application and nomination process and to expose them to academy life."

Representatives from the United States Military Academy (West Point), the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis), the United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs), the United States Coast Guard Academy (New London), and the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point), will be on hand to give a brief presentation and answer specific questions from both students and parents.
