| The Newark Greenway Network will link all five wards within the City. It will form a pathway to health and adventure for non-motorized travelers, such as pedestrians, cyclists, joggers, skaters, wheelchair users, and equestrians throughout the City. The project is the first phase of a citywide effort to capture the economic benefits of redeveloping the Newark Passaic Riverfront. The project will create local construction and maintenance jobs. Once completed, the project will enhance commercial activities within neighborhoods that are adjacent to the riverfront path system. | |||
