Amount Requested: $1,000,000 The requested funding will be used to excavate access, extend utilities and prepare a 4-5 acre site for a prospective manufacturing industry. The site is environmentally approved through a NEPA review as well as a NY SEQRA review. The park is owned and operated by the Kingston Local Development Corporation, a quasi governmental agency.The project will allow the City of Kingston Local Development Corporation to construct access to one new manufacturing site for a prospective company, as well as extend water, sewer, electric and gas to that site. The project will also involve the preparation of the site through excavation and grading, stormwater management systems and other infrastructure needs. The current prospective company the city is working with, IPA tools, involves 43 current jobs and expansion that will add an additional 50 jobs over 3-4 years. IPA is a major supplier to national tool sellers including Sears, Snap-On, and others. The facility will also add to the city's property tax base and it will make purchases of equipment and materials that will help the local economy.
