Amount Requested: $50,000
2-1-1 Tompkins/Information and Referral, part of a state-wide and national system of call centers, provides problem-solving, assessment, and health and human services referral information 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the Tompkins County community. These dollars will be used to support the 2-1-1 Call Center in Tompkins County replacing funds that are not forthcoming from New York State in 2009 and 2010 due to the state's fiscal crisis. The money will supplement local operating support for staffing, space, telephone and other essential components of the service.
