Amount Requested: $3,000,000 These funds will be used towards the development of advanced composite nickel-manganese-cobalt lithium ion battery for military applications, using NanoScission process technology to produce complex, uniform electrode materials for maximum electrode performance. At the conclusion of this program, the US Army will have access to batteries that are smaller, lighter, safer, and longer-lasting than any lithium batteries available on the market today, greatly extending duty cycle and survivability for applications ranging from handheld devices to unmanned aerial vehicles.
