Amount Requested: $190,672
The purpose of this funding would be to house expensive equipment that was purchased through Homeland Security funds. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office has taken delivery of hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of equipment. This includes marine patrol boats, all-terrain vehicles, a dive equipment vehicle, and Mobile Incident Command vehicles. The sheriff’s office currently does not have a heated storage facility to house these items. It is the goal of the sheriff not only to build such, but also to have rooms to train and repair all items associated with these special units.
