In response to the frequent devastating flooding, including the events in 2004, 2005, 2006, which resulted in one death and hundreds of thousands of dollars of damages, funding would allow for the development of a management plan to identify areas in need of design and implementation of projects in the interests of flood damage reduction, environmental restoration and other allied purposes.
