Funds would be used to extend Adams Avenue from Highway 99W into Sherwood, including purchasing the right-of-way and constructing a three-lane collector with a separated bike/pedestrian path. The project would provide an important link from Highway 99W to Tualatin-Sherwood Road and additional capacity for the intersection of Tualatin-Sherwood Road and Highway 99W due to the second highway access point. In addition, this project would provide a direct connection, which does not yet exist, between the highway and the business core in Old Town Sherwood. The project would create jobs during construction, but more importantly, it also would create long-term jobs as the lands adjacent to the roadway are developed.
